Finding ways to make memories with your children that will last a life time is not an easy task. It can be a real struggle to find the time, especially if both parents are working. Children look up to their parents and are very intelligent when it comes following your example. Try to remember that kids are really fast learners; what they see and hear you do, they will probably try to copy, even though you may not be formally teaching them. Bonding with your kids is sometimes not about the big activities, but in the everyday stuff that makes up life.

Helping your child with their homework or chatting while you’re doing the cleaning together can be great times to connect and are just as important as special days out and holidays. But we all need special times too; time spent together so that your children will never forget your love and care for them.

Here are some ways to making lifelong memories with your kids.

CREATE AN “OUR LIFE” SCRAPBOOK

Creating an “Our Life” Scrapbook can definitely touch their hearts when your kids get older.  Capture the moments when your child was born and the months that passed before their first birthday celebration. Make a story of your lives together that will really touch their hearts and capture those memories. READ TOGETHER

Bond with books. Read to your kids every day for at least ten minutes. Bedtime is a good time to do this. We all want our children to do well in school, and one way to do that is by making books an important part of their lives. When you spend time reading to toddlers, they will be much more likely to express themselves and relate to others in a healthy way. DRESS UP AND TAKE A ROAD TRIP

Do something exciting! Dress up and take your children to a place they love to go, whether it’s a picnic at a park, biking or a hiking trail. Driving across the country or three hours to another place, taking a road trip is a fun way to have new experiences and to explore different things.

DO SOME GARDENING

Invite your kids to do some gardening, teaching them to plant plants, loving them and caring for them. Gardening is a great activity for your children.
